
Museum of Brest History presents over 800 exhibits that tell about the history of the city, since its foundation in 1019. The museum’s exposition is presented on 2 floors and carries more than 500 museum objects. The building is located in the area of historical buildings of 1920s.
Among the most authentic and most valuable exhibits are:
- 17th century documents;
- Brest clocks (1767g.);
- Ttreasure trove of coins (1665 – 1666);
- Archaeological finds discovered during excavations on the territory of the medieval Brest castle;
- Maps and plans of the XIX century.
