The Catholic Cathedral in the style of Vilna baroque, the main Catholic church in Minsk. The church was the main element of the Jesuit Collegium ensemble formed during the 16th — 18th centuries — the stronghold of the Catholic Jesuit Order.
In the decoration of the temple a special attention is payed to the new altar. The image of the Mother of God, placed in the altar, is a gift of the Holy Father John Paul II. The figures of the apostles were also donated by one of the Italian churches. The design of the cathedral is complimented by paintings illustrating the stages of the cross of Christ.
Another great object in the Cathedral is an organ. It is a gift from the episcopate of Austria. Today in the cathedral you can often hear wonderful organ concerts with local and foreign performers.
