Mir Castle is a monument of architecture, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The architectural complex includes:
- A castle from the 16th – 20th centuries;
- Ramparts from the 17th – 18th centuries;
- A pond from 1896–98;
- A Svyatopolk-Mirsky chapel with a watchman’s house;
- Gates;
- Picturesque parks.
Built at the beginning of the XVI century it became the first privately owned castle on the lands of Belarus.
The successful combination of architectural styles of Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance makes Mir Castle a unique castle for Western Europe.
