With a the coming of Christmas Minsk turns into a fabulously beautiful city with its fairs, large Christmas trees, ice skating rinks and folk celebrations. The decoration of the city includes generous illumination on all streets, squares and boulevards, special window dressing, than turns into a masterpiece of design art and the embodiment of creativity for the holiday. All this creates a special mood, which is called Christmas.

Outside the city, you are also welcomed for the most grandiose national holiday of Belarusians - Kalyady. It is an excellent occasion to plunge into the unforgettable atmosphere of the holiday in the form in which it was celebrated by our ancestors, touch history, try traditional cuisine, wear unusual outfits and just have a good time being surrounded by picturesque landscapes of Belarusian nature.

Visiting folk celebration of «Kalyady» holiday in Open-air Museum of Architecture and Folk life. The program of celebration includes: the museum excursion, a theatrical performance, a master class on cooking, followed by tasting, horse riding, kindling a great fire and immersion in the authentic world of Christmas Carols in the Belarusian village. All museum guests will become participants in the role-playing game with costumes! Overnight in Minsk.

Day 3

Sightseeing tour of Minsk includes the main avenues that are fully illuminated and decorated for the holiday with large Christmas trees (Independence avenue, Victory avenue) and the architectural monuments of the XVIIth - XXth centuries with its folk craft fairs (the Upper Town with the City Hall, Holy Spirit Cathedral and the Cathedral of Saint Virgin Mary, old streets of the Trinity Suburb). The Victory Monument and the National Library (included into the list of the most outstanding buildings of the world) are waiting to be explored. Visit to the Exhibition of Christmas tree decorations The exhibition, where everyone can feel like in a distant fairy tale or drown in pleasant memories of childhood! The exhibition of Christmas tree toys in Minsk is built on the principle of a magic maze, which presents a collection of decorations from the mid-19th century to the present day from all over the world. You will also attend a master class and decorate your own Christmas toy and keep it with you as a memory! Minsk-Mir-Brest Transfer to Mir is a small town 90 km to the south-west from Minsk. It is most famous for the fairy-tale Mir Castle, still known today as the “medieval flower”. Castle is an impressive architectural monument, included into the list of World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. It was erected at the end of the XVth century and today it is a combination of Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance architecture that makes Mir Castle so unique. This red brick castle is also a historical monument, which used to belong to several aristocratic families, who have left their mark in the history of the town and of the country in general. Brest city tour. Brest is a traditional "western gate" of the country. It is a calm and relaxed city, with famous Sovetskaya Street and boulevards, which are perfect for promenading. During Christmas it becomes a magic place full of decorations, lights and trade fairs. But the main attraction of the city is the Brest fortress, which is of course included into the city tour. The fortress made through a prolonged defense against the Nazis in 1941 and was ruined in the result of severe battles. Only a handful of men had survived but citizens all over the USSR had been inspired by the heroism of the Brest fortress defenders. Today it is a giant deeply-affecting memorial. Transfer to Belovezhskaya puscha This world-famous park, which is included into the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, has recently celebrated its 600th anniversary! It is one of the last and largest remaining parts of the immense primeval forest which once spread across the European Plain. During Christmas time it turns to a magic forest. Here, deeply in the woods, you will find a little gingerbread-like wooden house with a lot of lights. It is a house of Ded Moroz (Belarusian Santa Clause) and he is ready to meet you with warmth and hospitality! Transfer to Nesvizh – a delightful historic town, one of the oldest in the country. You will visit the magnificent Nesvizh Palace – former residence of the aristocratic Radzivilli family, which also includes beautiful park and Farny Roman-Catholic Church of the XVIth century. The complex once numbered around 170 rooms, with a series of underground passages connecting it to the town’s monasteries. Today the exposition of the Palace includes more than 30 exhibition halls, including Prince's apartments, Golden and Star halls, Hunter’s hall and others. According to the National Statistics Committee, Nesvizh Palace was named the most popular museum in Belarus. Transfer to Minsk. Overnight in Minsk.
