After a sweltering summer season when Minsk was teeming with visitors, Prime Tour is raring to go with its campaign to conquer international markets, strengthening ties with existing partners and forging relationships with new ones!
In September 2019 we travelled to distant Japan to attend JTB workshops in Tokyo and Osaka, and to hold detailed discussions with Japanese tour operators on the nuances of working within this very specific market.
We were especially pleased to renew the acquaintance of companies with whom we have worked for many years, and to discuss proposals for next year’s programmes!
The most important of these will be the organisation of tours during Golden Week, Japan’s special holiday period. Partners and potential partners were particularly interested to develop joint working in this area, and they studied with great interest the booklets we prepared specifically with this holiday period in mind.
On top of this we attended presentations at the company offices of Tumlare to talk about the services we offer, answer any questions and discuss specific issues that might arise with Japanese tourist groups.
The Japanese market is one of the most challenging in the field of tourism, a fact that also makes it one of the most interesting! The events we attended in September were just the very first step towards fully understanding the needs of the market and the processes to be followed. The next step will be to participate in October’s Jata Exhibition.
