Potemkin Palace

Potemkin Palace is a monument of classicism and pseudo-Gothic style, built between 1778 and 1787 by Grigory Potemkin.

The palace was a significant structure – it was built specifically for the Empress Katherine II, according to written sources, the palace impressed not only with its architecture but also «there was a magnificent illumination in the courtyard in front of the Palace until dawn».

Now this building is included in State List of Historical and Cultural Values, and houses Krichev District Local History Museum, Mother Museum and Palace of Civil Rites.
