Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore is one of the oldest and richest museums in Belarus. The origins of its history go back to XIX century. For many decades the museum is located in the Town Hall – a monument of architecture of XVIII century, which is recognised as a symbol of of Vitebsk.
At the Museum you will see rich collections represented by more than 200 000 items that allow you to understand better the history and way of life of Vitebsk inhabitants. One of the largest collections is dedicated to treasures, weapons and armor.
