Belarusian land has always been known for its religious tolerance: orthodox and catholic Christians, Jews, Muslims for ages have been living here all together in peace.
Specially-designed tour will let you explore the religious heritage of Minsk. You will visit beautiful spiritual sites, for example:
- The Church of All Saints, which was built to commemorate the victims of different wars;
- St. Elizabeth convent, which includes 7 majestic church buildings, icon-making workshop, honey store and even herbal pharmacy;
- The Cathedral of the Holy Virgin Mary, used to be the Jesuit monastery and today is known as the main Roman Catholic cathedral in Minsk);
- The Church of St Simon and St Helena (the «Red» Church), which is the city’s prominent landmark.
You are also welcome to attend Minsk synagogues, which were rebuilt after their destruction during the Great Patriotic war and the Holy Spirit Cathedral that houses impressive icons, including that of Our Lady of Minsk, which is said to have miraculously appeared on the bank of the Svisloch River in 1500.
